Control Engineering Animation

Spacecraft

This site provides the Internet based learning modules for a nominal 13-week course in "Spacecraft Systems Design". Students are typically engineering, engineering physics or physics and astronomy, at the fourth year and graduate level. The course is run concurrently at universities in North America. Students have e-mail access to subject matter experts at the participating universities. Students work in teams and present their assignments and final design report on the Internet. Each year a different design project is initiated, and the previous years projects maintained on the website. Student teams have presented their final designs at "M. I. T X-Prize University Competition 1998", Ontario Science Centre "Engineering Week" 1999, and to aerospace industries and universities 1995-1997. Participants have included Royal Military College, Queen's, York, Toronto, Western, Windsor, Ryerson, Detriot Mercy, and Mexican universities.
