Calling one another names will certainly not help this situation in any way. What we must do is look objectively at the facts of the case. The US plane was flying in international air space-- which was it\'s right to do. The plane became damaged and would have crashed had it not been for a nearby Chinese airfield. The damage occurred to the US plane when it was struck by a recklessly flown Chinese Chinese F-8. An unfortunate incident that could have been resolved by two civilized nations. China has chosen to take a beligerent stance and has chosen to act outside the parameters of civilized behavior. China cannot expect the world community of nations to accept it into their midst when China refuses to act in a civilized manner. It is up to China to decide if and when it wants to join the community of civilized nations. It can do this by releasing the crew and returning the airplane to its rightful owners, the people of the United States of America.
