Tibet, what is the truth?
Truth by Assertion

I find it very frustrating to watch how China\'s leaders continue to follow a philosophy of Truth by Assertion, meaning, \"if we say it, it is so\". When you say, \"we\'re not murdering hundreds of thousands of Tibetans\", it doesn\'t mean that you are not. When you say \"Taiwan is ours\" it does not mean that it is.

The typical Chinese response to Western criticism is to point the finger back and say \"Opium War! Colonization!\" Fair enough, we\'ve done some bad things. But, I know what my government has done and is doing today. I work to change my government for the better. If given the choice to defect from my country or to stay and work to improve it, I would (and do) choose to stay and work.

I wonder if the people of Tibet would choose the same?

Please, please remove yourselves from Tibet. It is not, and never was, a province of China. Saying it was, does not make it so.
